Dr. Syed M. Ahmed is a Professor, and Chairperson of the department of Construction Management at East Carolina University. 

Dr. Ahmed is interested in the research of construction scheduling, quality and risk management, project controls, construction safety, construction procurement, and construction education and information technology.
